Wait Until Dark
Frederick Knott, adapted by Jeffery Hatcher
A new adaptation of the 1966 classic, this Wait Until Dark is set in 1944 Greenwich Village. Susan Hendrix, a blind yet capable woman, becomes the target of three con-men searching for a doll filled with diamonds that Suzy’s husband Sam had innocently transported from Canada. Little do they know that Gloria, a neighbor girl, has stolen the doll after finding out it was not a gift for her. As the climax builds, Susan discovers that her blindness just might be the key to her escape, but she and her tormentors must wait until dark to play out this classic thriller’s chilling conclusion.
“…a vulnerable woman discovering unexpected resources that allow her to turn the tables on her assailants is still the main draw….goosepimply climax….a gripping finish.”- The Los Angeles Times
